Alright… been a little crazy around my house… both the personal life and the business life!  So its time for me to catch you up on things!

1. Addy and Abby Fundraiser went AWESOME!  Thanks so much for all the donations.  Pictures coming soon.

HOLIDAY SESSIONS ARE HERE!- Huntsville Family Photographer

Its that time of year again… TIME FOR HOLIDAY CARDS!  Hahaha, in September, hahaha.  Isn’t it funny how far ahead of time we plan these things?  ANYWAYS, without further ado:

When and where:

DAY ONE:  Saturday October 9th on the Courthouse square in downtown Huntsville.

DAY TWO: Sunday October 17th at the Chase Train Museum (NEW LOCATION!  can give directions.  We can use the trains, the tracks and all of the old buildings!)

DAY THREE: Saturday November 13th at the Church of the Nativity downtown.

How much?:

There are a limited amount of  sessions on each day and they will book quickly.  The cost of the Holiday Sessions is $45.  This sitting fee includes: your 30 minute session on the date you pick above, editing and processing  of around 15 photos, a gallery online to choose your card pictures from.  This fee is due when you book in order to hold your spot (due to the limited space).

I have three packages just for Holiday Sessions.  You can choose one of those OR order your cards and prints on their own (OR BOTH a package and some add ons!)  The packages start at 100 dollars and sets of cards start at $40.  As always I offer a digital file option as well.

Book you fall session (September, October, November) NOW and your sitting fee is only FIFTY DOLLARS!! (that’s half off of my normal sitting fee!). OK, on to announcement number two.  I have several baby plan clients whose year with me will be coming to a close.  I was thinking of how sad that made me, I’ve been photographing these babies every three months for almost a year!  I’m not ready to see them go, and want to keep you (my clients that is) for a long time!  SOO  I’ve set up a program for the toddler years!  With out further ado, Perfectly Imperfect Photography’s “The Toddler Years”-

You’ve finished your belly to baby plan, you have gorgeous images to document your little one’s first year!  But now what?  Perfectly Imperfect Photography has the perfect set up to continue your portraiture journey and make sure every milestone is captured!  Pick from these great options:

Year Two:  $295

This includes a photoshoot at age 18months, 2 years, AND a full family session at anytime in the same year. You also get a 10×13 print of your choice from each of the child’s sessions and an 11×14 of your choice from the family session (prints are worth $110).  Half of this is due one month before the 18 month session, and the other half is due one month before the 2 year session (in order to hold your date).

Years Three, Four, and Five:  $175 per year

For each year you get a session on or near your child’s birthday, a full family session at the time of your choice AND a 10×13 enlargement!  (You can choose an album of 4×6 prints from each year instead of your 10×13).  The fee is due two months before your child’s birthday (in order to hold your spot) OR at your family session depending when you schedule it.

Album of the Toddler years: $200

A custom designed hardcover photobook with pictures from age 2-5.  We will work on this together and choose your favorite images and choose colors and layouts together!   OR you can allow me creative reign to design it for you.  This is an awesome keepsake to give your child later in life, give to grandparents, and to display in your home.

Add a child:

Have an older child?  Want to add him/her to your toddler years plan?  To include a session on or around their birthday and a 10×13 print of your choice, simply add $60 to your package!

I will be at these locations on the following days shooting 40 min. sessions for all people scheduled.

June 10th- Big Spring Park in Downtown Huntsville. This location offers amazing classic portraits in a comfortable easy to find park here in town. Times for Thursday’s sessions: 4:30 and 5:10

June 11th- Courthouse Square in Downtown Huntsville. This location is great for urban styled family portraits AND senior portraits. We will probably venture into a couple of alleys and neat little nooks and crannies at this location. Times for Friday’s sessions: 4:30 and 5:10

June 12th- Green Mountain (Madison County Nature Trail). This location is gorgeous and green. And perfect for the outdoor oriented family and for senior portraits. (I’ve even shot baby photos there!) Times for Saturday’s sessions: 9:00AM, 4:30PM, and 5:10PM

June 13th- Monte Sano State Park. This location is an awesome place for ANY picture, engagement, family, senior, children, babies, whatever!! Times for Sunday’s sessions: 9:00AM and 4:30PM

June 14th- Bridgestreet Town Center. Again, this location is great for anything, but I love it for couple pictures and seniors! Times for Monday’s session: 9:30 (if more people want Bridgestreet I’ll do one afternoon session).

Mini sessions are $50 and include your 40 minute session, a gallery of 25-30 images from your session that you can order from for two weeks AND a free 8×10 of your choice ($15 dollar value). You will also automatically recieve 10% off of your print order just for being a Facebook fan mini session participant.

Super fun beach pics of an awesome family!! (Take two!!)

This is year two with this family!  They participated in my very first Mobile travel session set!!  April 2009 I photographed this family and I was SO pleased to hear I’d be photographing them again in April 2010!

I mean… aren’t you jealous of how easily natural they are??

And I LOVE LOVE LOVE their chemistry together.  You can tell they love each other very much.  Here’s just the boys:

That’s something we didn’t get last time.  shots of just them…  This next one is my favorite:

I love the sun coming down on the beach illuminating everything but them (and their dog!)  The next two are personal favorites because I’m a momma of a boy and totally love the feel of these shots:

Mothering a boy is so different from mothering a girl (granted I can’t be an expert… my kids are only two and four months!!).  The next two are of dad and the boys… love these as well:

Haven’t they grown so much!!!  Here’s one I like alot.  Its a natural moment I just happened to catch, brothers just hanging out (sitting on a canon haha!):

Like the blurry puppy and in focus little boy!! Here’s one of the little heartbreaker that I love love:

Now this kiddo… well boy has he grown since last year!  He really has.  Grown into a very kind young man:

The last person to feature in this post is the puppy!!  Or should I say dog… he’s grown more than the kids this year. When we were at the beach last year Goliath puppy wouldn’t swim… he didn’t much like the water. But this year was a different story!  Here’s a series of shots showing him go into the water, dad being really excited puppy can swim, and the big puppy shaking off the ocean!

One of the families favorite shots from last year was one of their daddy and Goliath.  So mom requested we try to recreate that shot since they chose the same location.  It took alot of tries… I mean alot.  Most of the turned out like this:

First of the Season- Huntsville Senior Portrait Photographer

Its that time of year again… SENIOR PORTRAIT TIME!  And this beautiful lady was my first upcoming senior of the season.  What a wonderful way to start it off:

She picked one of my favorite spots and came with three awesome outfits.  First being that gorgeous dress shown above and below:

She was very natural in front of the camera… I didn’t even have to do much coaching at all! (which I like… makes my job a little easier!)

Her second outfit was a little more casual, but just as fabulous:

Have I ever mentioned how much I adore the sun at 5:00 pm?? Here’s why:

Because it makes people look even more beautiful than they already are.  Her third outfit.. well it cracked me up simply because it was SO something I would have done but it turned out fine!  First I’ll show you the picture:

AND now I’ll explain… hehe… the undershirt wasn’t hers and was to big, and the skirt was safety pinned and not ironed (not that I iron anything.. her mom just noticed).  But can you tell?  NOPE!  Teenagers man, wish I still was one (nah… enjoyed it, happy to watch others do it now though!):

I heart faces- Dramatic Black and White

Stumbled upon a really awesome website today, its called I Heart Faces

Each week they have a photo challenge and I think it would be fun for me to enter when I can!! Plus there are links to HUNDREDS of other photographers for me to look at and learn from!  LOVE IT.  SO, here’s my entry for the contest:

I chose this picture because I definitely think its a dramatic b/w!  She is gorgeous first off! (Thanks Chelsea!) And the sun was illuminating the row of windows behind her, we were on a downtown street but everything disappeared besides her. It was an awesome day of shooting and this shot is one of my favs.

Can’t wait to see everyone elses dramatic b/w!  Maybe I’ll have to participate every week!
