Addy and Abby, and their amazing parents- Huntsville Family Photographer

18 09 2010

END OF DAY ONE TOTAL:  $25, Pass on the word so we can raise LOTS more!!!

In June I was the photographer at a beautiful wedding.  One of the bridesmaids at that wedding was Clayli:

And when she told me she was pregnant with twins, I did not believe her!!  She looked awesome and had so much energy.  And it was obvious to me even in the short amount of time I saw them together that her and her husband loved each other very very much.  And they were so excited when they found out their twins were two sweet little girls!  After the wedding we kept in touch, we made plans for her maternity session and she liked talking to someone who already had two little ones!

But then Clayli had to go on bedrest… and then she had to go to UAB to be on hospital bedrest.  She was not very far along.  And on one fateful night their lives were changed forever.  In the words of Clayli and her husband: “On August 17, 2010 our lives were forever changed by the arrival of our 25 week twin girls.”    Abby was only 1lb 3oz and Addy was 1lb 4oz.  Tiny little miracles.

You can only imagine the stress and fear that followed.  And the love and joy that they came into the world safely.  The girls are now a month old and both doing well.  Its been a rollercoaster of a month, but things are leveling out for the girls and their parents.  I’ve followed their story and fallen in love with the girls and been AMAZED by the strength of their parents.  I decided I couldn’t stand by and watch anymore!  I want to do something for them… they deserve it, they are giving everything they have to their beautiful girls and the girls themselves are obviously as strong as their parents and beating ALL the odds.

Abby!

ADDY!

SO, here’s the plan.  Lets raise some money and do something for Clayli and her husband and their girls!  Here’s what you do:

1. Comment on this post, leave them some love!

2. Donate.  You can send a check, pay with a card via paypal, or if you know me you can meet me with cash.  I’m going to keep a tally on the side bar so you can see the total!

3. Get rewarded.  For every 10 dollars you donate you get to put your name in a pot for a free session!  I will draw the winner at the end of the week.

After we have the total amount I’m going to discuss with Clayli the best way to serve their family with the total amount.  Then next week myself and one of my friends who is also amazed with their story will be going to Birmingham to deliver their gift!  I will be sure to take pictures of the presents and the lovely people who deserve them so much!  I’m also going to do a little “newborn” session with the girls while I’m there so I’ll have that to share as well!

So pull out those wallets and get ready to give to a family that deserves/needs all the love we can give.  And maybe you’ll win a session along the way!  (PS- if I raise more than 150 dollars I will give away TWO sessions!  PPS- even if you don’t want a session, still consider giving to this amazing family!).  Here’s one more pic of the girls for good measure:

I love the country- Huntsville Newborn Photographer

1 09 2010

When this little ones mommy told me where they lived, I couldn’t have been more thrilled.  A wrap around porch, barrels, barns, LAND, and dramatic windows… I didn’t even need my props (except for the metal red bucket that appears later!)

And for a 6 week old baby she did AWESOME, I was afraid she would be to awake, but her daddy was the king of making her sleepy!  Here’s a picture that shows of a smidgen of their 100 acres:

And it shows off their sweetie baby!

They have a beautiful bed for this little girly.  Daddy and Mommy had a GREAT idea for a shot of baby laying her crib:

And hopefully I caught what they were looking for!  Here’s one of the sweet baby playing in her big bed:

And this next one I love, Mommy giving her tiny girl her passy:

And of course what newborn shoot is complete without feet pictures:

This next picture is in an heirloom bed AND an heirloom dress!  Both are very old and very awesome:

Here’s one last shot to show off the christening gown a little better:

Mom and Dad I had SO much fun at your home out in the country and I CAN’T wait to show you more pictures!  You have a precious little gift who was a delight to photograph.

All the way from Alaska!- Huntsville Baby Photographer

30 08 2010

This little guy and his momma are visiting from ALASKA!!  It was such an amazing session, one of those that just speaks to me.  But how could it not with this tiny one in tow:

We were at a local museum with tons of neat things to do and play with.  Animals, games, toys, AND WATER:

Which funny enough little man fell into haha.  They also had BUBBLES!

I can’t get over his hair… I miss my little man’s long hair:

Next we got all dressed up (well they did) and took so together pics!  Here’s mom and baby dancing:

The next couple are some super sweet mommy love and one with grandma:

Last is one of my fav shots:

Thanks guys for a WONDERFUL morning!!  Can’t wait to show you the rest.

Baby Boy, BIG building- Huntsville baby photographer

15 08 2010

This handsome boy is the child of a wonderful mommy who I’ve known since I was in elementary school!  She contacted me when she and the little guy returned from being in Germany (now daddy is on deployment).  She wanted pics done of her boy, and she was excited!  So was I!  We chose downtown so we could get pics that were boyish (as opposed to flowery and girly).  And this bank downtown was big and dramatic and masculine.

And then you add that cutie and you have an awesome photograph!  I will say he had me concerned for my little one to be nine months!!!  I’m not ready for a crawler/climber/stander yet!!

But he had SO much personality and was so so so much fun.  And notice the hat?  They are BIG bama fans!

Oh my… I forgot to mention his eyes!  So big and blue and handsome.  Maybe I should remember him when Owen gets older!  I’ll leave you with this adorable shot:

Thanks for stopping by!! My kiddos have been sick and so have I but we are on the mend.  SO I’m back to the blog and will be sharing lots more pictures!

OH and if you would like a fall session, now is the time to book.  I only have a couple sessions left!

Beautiful Family, HOT DAY!!- Huntsville Family Photographer

8 08 2010

See aren’t they so gorgeous?  And let me tell you, it was SO SO SO SO hot.  I mean just miserable.  But we got through it with some great images:

If there’s one thing I know its that boys love their momma’s.  And that these boys love each other:

Here’s a shot mom should be proud of, her handsome boys:

The little one was so giggly (once we figured out what made him smile!!), and so cute, LOVE his chubby cheeks!!

He knows how to clap too and I LOVE it:

Big brother’s shell was a little harder to break, but I did it and got some great serious  shots AND smiley shots along the way:

Smiley one:

Here’s one last picture for dad.  He wanted some pics of the boys on the green at the golf course we were shooting near.  They were to preoccupied to look at me, but I still LOVE this shot:

Thanks guys for a hot but fun morning!!  Can’t wait to show you the rest later this week.

OK, on to announcement number two.  I have several baby plan clients whose year with me will be coming to a close.  I was thinking of how sad that made me, I’ve been photographing these babies every three months for almost a year!  I’m not ready to see them go, and want to keep you (my clients that is) for a long time!  SOO  I’ve set up a program for the toddler years!  With out further ado, Perfectly Imperfect Photography’s “The Toddler Years”-

You’ve finished your belly to baby plan, you have gorgeous images to document your little one’s first year!  But now what?  Perfectly Imperfect Photography has the perfect set up to continue your portraiture journey and make sure every milestone is captured!  Pick from these great options:

Year Two:  $295

This includes a photoshoot at age 18months, 2 years, AND a full family session at anytime in the same year. You also get a 10×13 print of your choice from each of the child’s sessions and an 11×14 of your choice from the family session (prints are worth $110).  Half of this is due one month before the 18 month session, and the other half is due one month before the 2 year session (in order to hold your date).

Years Three, Four, and Five:  $175 per year

For each year you get a session on or near your child’s birthday, a full family session at the time of your choice AND a 10×13 enlargement!  (You can choose an album of 4×6 prints from each year instead of your 10×13).  The fee is due two months before your child’s birthday (in order to hold your spot) OR at your family session depending when you schedule it.

Album of the Toddler years: $200

A custom designed hardcover photobook with pictures from age 2-5.  We will work on this together and choose your favorite images and choose colors and layouts together!   OR you can allow me creative reign to design it for you.  This is an awesome keepsake to give your child later in life, give to grandparents, and to display in your home.

Add a child:

Have an older child?  Want to add him/her to your toddler years plan?  To include a session on or around their birthday and a 10×13 print of your choice, simply add $60 to your package!

Any family who is a part of the Toddler Years program will be awarded special discounts and deals via email on everything from prints to Christmas cards to specialty products!  I want to reward all of my returning clients and thank them for choosing PIPhotos for all of their portraiture needs!

Can’t wait to meet your Toddler!!

I hope this will be a good thing for both my clients and my business!  If you are a new client and missed the baby plans don’t worry!  Anyone can jump in at any point during these plans.  I’m very flexible!!

Hope you are having a nice summer and staying cool!

With love,

Megan

7 07 2010

So, I love every session and every client and every child.  But some sessions just jump out at me and something magical happens.  WELL, little baby M.. your six month session did that for me:

I mean… look at that face!

And she was so full of personality.  She would go from that sweet little face above to one like this:

HAHA!  And then one like this:

Pretty girl, you were such a blast:

And now I can’t wait until three months from now when I get to photograph that beautiful little face again!

Thanks guys for sharing your baby girl with me for the morning!!

The blog will be hoppin for the next while!! I have several unblogged sesssions to share!

Sisters- Huntsville Children’s Photographer

13 06 2010

Last week I met a set of sisters which reminded me so much of my sisters!  I’m the oldest of four girls.  But I don’t know if we were as cute as this little trio:

Aren’t they beautiful?  And they all had beautiful and unique personalities too.  Here’s the oldest, who was so caring with her little sisters and was having fun looking for goose feathers with me!

Here’s another of big sister (sorry for ANOTHER b/w, I just love this one in b/w):

Oh my goodness.  The middle sister’s hair?  AMAZING:

Isn’t it beautiful?? I wish I had curly hair, I’ve always wanted it, but I have VERY straight hair.  Here’s another of the little beauty:

The baby girl was SO easy going.  She just went with the flow and followed her sisters around.

She was just delightful, and is just as pretty as her sisters:

Thanks girls for a fun morning:

Hope your Nana loves the pictures!! (and your mommy and daddy)
